Harataki is located in “Higashiyama Onsen”, a historical hot spring village found approximately 1,300 years ago by an eminent priest by the name of Gyoki. Harataki is one of the few hot spring inns in Higashiyama Onsen with a private hot spring source. We draw hot spring to the open-air baths from our private hot spring source. Guests can enjoy the beautiful seasonal landscapes of the nearby gorge and the sound of the clear stream flowing outside.

1. Free use of the private outdoor bath
One complimentary private panoramic bath can be enjoyed once per stay for guests staying from January to March.
50 minutes per stay, between 14:00 and 23:30 or between 06:00 and 08:00.
2. Free drink at the tea lounge
Each guest will receive one drink of their choice at the Tea Lounge
A combination of “set of dishes and mini buffet”
The best way to enjoy local ingredients is to eat them in the region. The set menu called "Otemae cuisine" is a hospitality dish in which several items such as appetizers, sashimi, and hot pot are served at your table. It is cooked by our skillful chefs using a variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients and seafood along with various local ingredients, our cuisines not only tastes great but also looks great. Please enjoy the seasonal delicacies made with local and seasonal ingredients selected by our chef.
If you add on the mini buffet, you could enjoy both the set menu and the mini buffet. Located in the center of Dining Takigawa, the mini buffet offers local simmered dishes and soups, fresh vegetables from local farms, delicious Aizu rice, freshly prepared side dishes, desserts, and a selection of snacks that go perfectly with Aizu's local sake and local cuisine.
We also offer an upgrade course of ingredient and recipe carefully selected by our chef.
Dinner will be served in two parts with a time difference depending on the crowd of the day. Please note that the dinner will be served in Japanese style.
The smell of freshly cooked Aizu rice and miso soup will stimulate your appetite. Dishes will be served in a box with 6 small compartments filled with; grilled fish, hot pots, Japanese rolled omelet made from eggs of Aizu chicken (jidori), and some side dishes using seasonal local vegetables.

There are 4 rooms with a bath with a great view. A luxurious room with a “panoramic bath” made of Aomori Hiba tree wood where guests can bathe in freely whenever they want.

Drive along the Ban-etsu Expressway and take the exit at the Aizu-Wakamatsu IC before driving for another 20 minutes on the National Route 118 or Prefectural Route 325.
Take the shinkansen to Koriyama Station, then from Koriyama Station to Aizuwakamatsu Station on the JR Ban-etsu West Line (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes), or 20 minutes by taxi from Aizuwakamatsu Station.
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Aizuwakamatsu Station to Higashiyama Onsen (approximately 15 minutes), and hop on a free shuttle service from Higashiyama Onsen (please contact HARATAKI after you arrive at the bus stop).
From Fukushima Airport, take a limousine bus to Koriyama Station (approximately 40 minutes), then take the JR Ban-etsu West Line from Koriyama Station to Aizuwakamatsu Station (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes). From Aizuwakamatsu Station, you could take the taxi (approximately 20 minutes) or the Machinaka Shuttle Bus to Higashiyama Onsen (approximately 15 minutes).

The rates do not include the transportation fee between the accommodation and your residence.
Check-in time is at 15:00, and check-out time is at 10:00.
Your booking confirmation will be sent within 1-2 business days.
We will ask you to complete the payment after the booking has been confirmed.
You may be asked to present your residence card as proof of identification upon check-in.
